A Slow Morning Inspired by Intentional Living

At Knockout Living Co., we’ve always believed that luxury is less about excess and more about how a space makes you feel.
It’s the quiet moments.Fresh flowers gathered loosely in a vase. Coffee poured slowly while the morning sun comes through the trees.A table thoughtfully set, not for perfection, but for presence.
This Mother’s Day, we’re leaning into the beauty of slow living with a garden breakfast designed to feel soft, welcoming, and beautifully uncomplicated. The kind of morning that invites everyone to linger a little longer.
Because true luxury should feel lived in — not performative.
Creating a Garden Table That Feels Warm & Effortless
There’s something grounding about setting a table outdoors in the spring. The soft breeze, the scent of fresh flowers, the natural light shifting throughout the morning — it all creates an atmosphere that feels instantly calming.

For this Mother’s Day table, I leaned into layered neutrals and natural textures: linen tablecloths, woven chargers, ceramic dishes, soft candlelight, and glassware in delicate blush tones that catch the sunlight beautifully.
I love using neutral linen napkins tied loosely with ribbon and layered over woven chargers for a table that feels warm and relaxed rather than overly formal. Floral-inspired ceramic plates mixed into the setting add just enough softness without feeling too styled. I also love layering in additional floral-inspired dishes like these to keep the table feeling collected and personal.
To soften everything further, I incorporated blush-toned glassware that reflects the morning light in the prettiest way.
These are the kinds of pieces that quietly elevate everyday rituals — not just for holidays, but for slow weekends and ordinary mornings too.
Fresh strawberries scattered naturally across the table alongside flowers from the market keep everything feeling organic and seasonal.
Nothing too perfect. Nothing overly arranged.
Just thoughtful details that invite people to settle in and stay awhile.
The Menu: Seasonal, Simple, and Made to Be Shared

One of the most beautiful parts of hosting at home is realizing that things don’t need to be complicated to feel special.
Some of the most meaningful gatherings happen around recipes that are simple, comforting, and prepared slowly with care.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish Braid
Easy Enough for a Slow Morning, Beautiful Enough for Hosting

This strawberry cream cheese Danish braid has become one of my favorite spring breakfast recipes because it feels effortlessly elevated while coming together with just a handful of ingredients.
Served warm beside fresh coffee and flowers, it becomes the kind of centerpiece that makes the whole table feel inviting.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
1 egg, beaten
Powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Spread the mixture down the center of the puff pastry and top with strawberries.
Cut strips along both sides and fold over the filling to create a braid.
Brush with egg wash and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
I love serving this on a marble or wooden serving board alongside coffee poured into simple stoneware mugs. A glass cake stand instantly makes homemade pastries feel elevated while still keeping everything approachable and relaxed.
It’s those small details that transform an ordinary breakfast into something memorable.
Spinach, Gruyère & Prosciutto Quiche
A Timeless Garden Breakfast Staple

Quiche has a way of making a morning feel slower and more intentional. It’s one of those recipes that feels beautiful in its simplicity — nourishing, comforting, and easy to prepare ahead so you can actually enjoy the gathering.
Adding prosciutto gives this version a subtle savory richness while still keeping everything light enough for spring.
Ingredients
1 prepared pie crust
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small shallot, diced
3 cups fresh spinach
4–5 slices prosciutto, torn into pieces
1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
4 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and black pepper
Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Pre-bake pie crust for 8 minutes.
Sauté shallots in olive oil until softened. Add spinach and cook until wilted, then stir in prosciutto.
Whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Layer spinach mixture and Gruyère into crust and pour egg mixture over top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
Serve alongside roasted asparagus, fresh fruit, and lightly dressed greens for a breakfast that feels simple yet elevated.
I always reach for this ceramic pie dish that can move seamlessly from oven to table, along with soft linen tea towels and understated serving pieces that keep everything feeling relaxed and approachable.
Because often the most luxurious spaces are the ones that feel the most comfortable.
A Simple Flower Arrangement for Mom

Flowers have a way of softening a space instantly, and creating your own arrangement can become part of the beauty of the morning itself.
The best part is that it doesn’t need to feel elaborate.
A few grocery store bouquets in soft spring tones — tulips, garden roses, ranunculus, eucalyptus — arranged loosely in ceramic pitchers or small bud vases can completely transform the table.
I like scattering smaller arrangements down the center rather than creating one large centerpiece. It keeps the table feeling intimate and encourages conversation to flow naturally.
A few brass candle holders mixed in with soft linen runners and gathered greenery create that effortless garden-inspired feel without looking overly styled.
Leave space between the stems.Let the flowers move naturally.Allow the arrangement to feel imperfect.
That softness is what makes it beautiful.
The Heart of Affordable Luxury Living
At its core, affordable luxury isn’t about constantly buying more.
It’s about creating a life that feels slower, fuller, and more intentional.
Choosing quality over excess.
Presence over perfection.
Connection over performance.
A Mother’s Day breakfast in the garden becomes less about hosting beautifully and more about creating space to appreciate the people around you.
Fresh coffee poured slowly.Sunlight moving across the table.Laughter between bites of strawberry pastry. Flowers swaying gently in the breeze.
These are the moments that stay with us.
And at Knockout Living Co., this is the kind of luxury we’ll always come back to —a life that feels beautiful, grounded, and fully lived.

A Personal Note to My Mom
Mom,
You may not have taught me how to set beautiful tables or arrange flowers in the kitchen, but you taught me something even deeper.
You taught me how to be strong. How to be independant. How to strive for more than what we had when I was young. And most importantly, how to be fully myself.
In so many ways, this blog is exactly that — me.
It’s the life I’ve created from the things that bring me joy:slow mornings, beautiful gardens, thoughtful details, soft spaces, meaningful gatherings.
The little things that make a life feel beautiful.
And while our lives may not have always looked polished or easy, you gave me the resilience and courage to dream beyond where we started.
Thank you for the conversations, the steady love, and the countless quiet sacrifices that often went unseen.
This little garden breakfast is inspired by you and all the women who make life feel softer, fuller, and more beautiful simply by the way they love.
I love you endlessly.
